For whatever reason, wine is regarded as an elitist beverage while beer is not (hence the ubiquitous and annoying Joe Six-Pack i.e. average guy from fall's election season). It doesn't help that most people, obnoxious egocentric jerks aside, are afraid to even offer an opinion on wine lest they look stupid. Wine Coach Laurie Forster's book The Sipping Point is an easy intro into the complex world of wine, answering such questions as how to get a broken cork out of a bottle and how to read a wine list as long as the NYC phone book.
We've got three copies to give away, so there will be three lucky winners this week.
Enter to win The Sipping Point--just leave a comment on the site with your burning wine-related question!
Read the contest rules (short version: one entry per person, must be 21 or older and have a U.S. mailing address, enter by midnight Eastern time the following Thursday).
You made us hungry with mouthwatering descriptions of your favorite Chinese food. Congratulations to Sandy of Springdale, Arkansas, and Kelly of Manhattan, Illinois, winners of Chop Suey.
Web find of the week: For brides-to-be, recycled wine cork keychain favors.
PSA: Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.

Also, if you're new to wine, how to you go about learning about them?
I figure the answer to this and some of the other questions here in the comments will be explained by the book.
