bottlestopperdisplay

If you're a knick-knacky kind of person you'll love this week's giveaway: a Wine Bottle Stopper Display made from an oak wine barrel stave, courtesy of Wine-Fi.com. Underneath the stave you can see the dark stain of the wine and the aging and toasting of the barrel.

Enter to win the Wine Bottle Stopper Display--just leave a comment on the site with your favorite thing to collect!

Read the contest rules (short version: one entry per person, must be 21 or older and have a U.S. mailing address, enter by midnight Eastern time the following Thursday). Special note for this giveaway: Due to shipping, this giveaway is limited to the lower 48 states. Bottle stoppers not included.

Congratulations to Peter of New York, NY, winner of the Moleskine notebook.

Web find of the week: Speaking of pizza, The New York Times' interactive pizza map with the best pies in the city.

I happen to collect barware! I have a great collection of old, new & in-between items that includes some beautiful stoppers. I house my barware collection in a big antique glass-front cabinet. All the stoppers live together in an old crystal bowl. How happy they (and I) would be to have their own display stand to showcase their beauty & uniqueness! Thank You for the opportunity!

I love antique corkscrews. I love wondering who used them, what kind of wine they drank, etc. Also, I like them to be in working condition, so they can be used as they were made to be tools.

I collect Civil War bullets and memorabilia. I find this era of our history extremely interesting.

I recently bought my first wine stopper, and can see that collecting them would be very addictive with all the different styles available.

Corks. And more corks. They look great sitting in a big fancy jar on the countertop, so my friends all think I've drank way too many bottles of fine wine! Truth is, I collect them from my day job as wine pourer. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Did you know they make great fishing lures?
