Since we've been talking about Vinho Verde all week, today's a great Friday to feature the ChillinJoy, a portable wine cooler ideal for keeping a bottle cool at picnics, campouts, or just by the pool. It works for red wine, too: just refrigerate instead of freeze the ice packs. P.S. There's a pocket for your corkscrew!

Riesling, all the way. I tend to like it on the sweeter side of the spectrum, but it is SUCH an enjoyable wine, on its own or with dinner. I love it.

So many great whites, and riesling is certainly at the top of the list. But, in the spirit of mixing things up and being financially responsible, these day's I'm a big fan of cheap vins de pays from the Languedoc (think white colombard!). Mmm, and soave's refreshing, too.

Right now because it's summer I am into the fine charonnay's. I love Mitsuko's Vineyard Chardonnay. It's made in California and it tastes buttery smooth. I love it fairly cold, but not too much and it is just refreshing on a hot summer evening. Thanks so much for the chance to enter.

Hmmm, aside from authentic Champagne??? For just sipping, I love Sancerre (but too $$$.) Pinot Gris, not-too-sweet Rieslings, Pinot Noir and Caminiere are all wonderful too.
