Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes
It's easy to pigeonhole Portugal into a one-wine country (heavy, sweet Port) so it's hard to believe that light, fizzy Vinho Verde is made a few steps away in the Vinho Verde wine region, traditionally known as Entre-Douro-e-Minho. In this photo, workers dig through the rows of vines, which look more like trees than grapevines.
