kungfugirlRocker dude turned winemaker Charles Smith says about his Kung Fu Girl Riesling, "Because Riesling and girls kick a**!" We agree, and so does Wine & Spirits magazine. The Kung Fu Girl Riesling is classic, perfectly bright and clean with apples and peaches on the nose and a hint of minerality. Pucker up if you have a sweet tooth: this wine is incredibly fruity, but dry.

Kung Fu Girl Riesling is the Bomb Diggity!!! Very clean, with lime and peaches on the pallate. Wet stone and magnolia flowers on the nose. A true riesling out of Washington. Reminds me of the great Alsacian Rieslings. A True Winner!!!!

I saw this wine for the first time at Young's Fine Wines & Spirits in Manhasset, NY. The bottle definitely caught my eye. Sort of reminds me of those old "zines" I used to read. I know the wine inside is more important than the bottle, but this would be a great gift wine to bring to a party just based on the look. It's very fun. And according to your review, tastes pretty good too.

Laurie,

Charles Smith is widely considered a marketing genius for his oh-so-simple-yet-oddly-attractive black and white labels. But hey, I'm a girl who's all about what's in the bottle, and I happen to LOVE Washington Rieslings in general, and this one is truly amazing, especially for the price. You should try it if you haven't!

Great post! Rieslings have gotten a bad rap for way too long. A good Riesling is complex, clean and a little lower in alcohol than most other white wines, making it a great summer wine.
