But hey, if you don't win this contest, order your own from the Riedel web store. Fifteen percent of the sale goes to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life.

Enter to win the Riedel Pink CrescendO glasses--just leave a comment on the site with a short note about whether and how cancer has touched your life.

Read the contest rules (short version: one entry per person, must be 21 or older and have a U.S. mailing address, enter by midnight Eastern time the following Thursday).

Although I have never had cancer, I have had a brother, cousins and many friends who have had it. And, it sucks! I'm happy that there are support groups for those who have it, and that some types of cancer can be cured. I hope that one day, cancer will be cured more often than not.

My great-aunt Mary, who was like a second grandmother to me, battled breast cancer for several years. She was in recession until Thanksgiving two years ago, when her doctors discovered that the cancer had spread to her brain. She died shortly after. Cancer has touched me with sorrow and tears at the loss of my loved ones who have died from it. Yet, cancer also touches me with encouragement as I share in the strength, faith and hope of those loved ones that are still fighting. Cancer is proof of a broken world, yet I know God is good. How has it touched my life. In 11 ways. From 2001 to 2005 I lost 7 family members and 4 family friends, 1 being my best friend from high school had her breasts removed and is now undergoing plastic surgery because of Cancer. It took me about five months to call her after I found out she had cancer. I know this sounds awful, after so many deaths due to cancer I just did not have it in me to say, once more, "Everything will be all right". I didn't believe it one bit and I was so afraid I would not sound sincere therefore creating a lack of faith I knew she did not need from me. My cousins daughter, Courtney, who is now 3 years old was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. My parents died a month apart from each other, both of Cancer. I had nightmares about my fathers death for about a year. My mother's hip broke and she had a fracture in her leg because her breast cancer spread from her breasts to her lungs and eventually everywhere in her body. Cancer in the bones makes your bones brittle. I can still hear her screaming when her hip broke while at home, just from trying to get off the toilet to bed. I hate it. I can't stand it. Thinking about my family and friends who have suffered due to this disease still makes me cry to this day. I wonder if there will ever be a cure. I wish the day had arrived when we no longer fear or suffer because of Cancer. No one should have to suffer because of this. It is a blight on the world.

Having had cancer twice (cervical and colon) I take every opportunity that comes my way to push for routine tests, in my case for a pap smear and a fecal smear test which take about 10 minutes each. Because of these tests and my taking them routinely both of my cancers were caught in the early stages and responded to surgical removal with no follow up chemo needed. If most people would just realize that our first line of defense against cancer is ourselves and our dilligence in using available screening and self exams. One arena of self exam which is sorely neglected is male testicular cancer. Self exam is somewhat akin to breast self exam in that it looks for lumps. I have lectured both my sons and have talked with several teen male groups over the years about this. Will admit there has been a bit of sniggering but if even one of them does it with good results it will have been worth it. Its your body and nobody knows it like you do, you just have to respond to the signals it sends you.

My dad died of esophagel cancer when I was 17, three years after he and my mom seperated. And although she and my older sister went to Dallas to care for him (we were living in Tennessee at the time), I never got to see him during the end of his life. Never got to know him after I had grown up. I'll always regret the many things that were never said between us.
One of the last times we spoke on the phone he told me he loved me, which was quite a shock! Not that he loved me, I knew that, but my dad was a tough guy ( navy WW2 ) and just didn't say thing like that out loud. But cancer can ravage even the strongest as well as the friends and family that must persevere with the suffering and loss of a loved one.

Fifteen years ago me and two of my best friends were all diagnosed with cancer a couple of months apart.
I had uterine and cervical, one friend had bone cancer and the other with brain cancer.
At the time I was newly divorced and had a two and three year old. When I went for more testing they told me that there was no use to continue that I had less than six months remaining and needed to find the person that would care for my children.
At the time I was working for a scrub nurse who recommended a doctor that she worked with and he recommended surgery but still gave me the same sentence.
Once I awoke in recovery everyone around me was smiling and I received the news that they had been able to rid my body completely of cancer. I thank God everyday for allowing me to live and raise my children.
As happy as I was though within four months both of my friends lost their lives to cancer. So I was also stuck with the guilt of being the one to survive.
To all of those that have been affected by cancer my prayers go out to you.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

Cancer has taken away far too many friends and family members. After the initial shock surpasses, I'm filled with rage for the cancer. Just last month a dear friend of mine lost her battle with breast cancer.

I love these glasses and they will benefit the cancer cause. Many people have died from various cancers in my family. I have lost a great grand father, both grandfathers, a grandmother, an aunt, three uncles, and a couple of cousins. A couple of my aunts including my grandmother that later past from colon cancer found lumps in there breasts and had them removed. One aunt in particular had a mastechtomy and has had some difficulty ever since. I fear it every day but don't let it stop me from living. It seems as though cancer touchs almost every one these days in some way. Any ideas to help are appreciated by all those affected.

Love these glasses. I had breast cancer when I was 33. I'm BRCA1+ and normally I don't like all the pink-washing of stuff in October, but these are really nicely done. Life post-cancer, post-bilateral mastectomy in your 30s is tough, but there is lots of living, loving and laughter to be had in between all the treatments and surgeries and loss of friends.
