bottlewise

Now you can take it with you. One of my favorite parts of traveling is picking up new, hard-to-find wines. One of my least-favorite parts of traveling is trying to stuff them into bubble wrap and garbage bags inside my suitcase (thanks, TSA!). Today's Freebie Friday is the BottleWise Duo, an innovative bottle carrier with a leak-proof liner that tucks right into your suitcase and meets TSA regulations.

Enter to win the BottleWise Duo--just leave a comment on the site with your favorite travel destination!

Read the contest rules (short version: one entry per person, must be 21 or older and have a U.S. mailing address, enter by midnight Eastern time the following Thursday).

Web find of the week: Speaking of good wine gadgets, 100 Creative Wine Innovations from Trendhunter Magazine.

PSA: Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.

This makes me think of traveling back from Hungary with a case of wine. I carried it on, but somewhere in the flights back (I think the UK) they said, "You can't carry that on." I did on the last two flights! Come on... No, we'll check that for you. And then you think, "I know these weren't packed for being checked... uh oh..." All the bottles made it, much to my relief.

Love going to St. Thomas and taking my own wine but always worry about packing my wine in my suitcase even though I bubble wrap it well! This would be perfect! What a great idea for a gift!

My husband and I have a trip in April for my sister-in-law's wedding, We are going to Monaco for the entire week of and I am ecstatic. She is getting married in front of Cathédrale de Monaco, the same chapel that Princess Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III. I will be bringing a lot of wine home with us and pray that the baggage handlers are not as careless as the ones we encountered in Atlanta, Georgia!

My favorite destination is the French Alps. I was fortunate to travel to Voiron, France in college where I first tried Chartreuse liquor. It's probably one of the most memorable wine experiences of my life. I took the wine back to the U.S. the old fashioned way - smuggled in my suitcase.
